Spatial Relationship between Eclogite and Copper-Nickel Mineralization in East Kunlun, China

In recent years, Cu-Ni deposits have been discovered at different localities in the Eastern part of Kunlun orogenic belt such as Xiarihamu, Langmuri, Shitoukengde, and Wenquan. Eclogites are usually exposed areas associated with these deposits, thereby implying a certain coupling relationship between eclogite distribution. this study, samples from Xiarihamu Langmuri were analyzed using petrogeochemistry, U-Pb zircon geochronology, electron probe microanalysis (EPMA). Further, protolith properties, formation environment, metallogenic mechanism also investigated. Geochemically, is rich MgO FeO low alkali SiO2. Its m/f ratios 0.72 to 1.53 Mg# values 42 61. Overall, chondrite-normalized rare-earth elements (REE) patterns showed characteristics weak enrichment LREE, negative Eu anomalies, relative large-ion lithophile K Rb, active incompatible element Th, depletion high-field strength Nb, Ta, Zr, Hf, V-shaped valleys caused by Sr, P, Ti. These geochemical indicated that highly differentiated Fe gabbro formed continental margin type rift environment. The EPMA analyses composition garnet consists almandite grossularite, omphacite often contains augite. Geochronological investigations peak metamorphic age 415.6 ± 2.7 Ma (MSWD = 0.43, n 16) 449.1 8.5 0.88, 19), which related early Paleozoic cycle slightly earlier than magmatic liquation area. On basis spatial coupling, approximation, correlation mafic rock masses, combination previous research results work, it has considered ore East Range post-collisional extension environment after deep subduction crust. ultra-high-pressure melange or enriched mantle crust-mantle metasomatism was partially melted form sulfur-rich mafic–ultramafic magmas post-collision During crust, large amount crust-derived sulfur brought into mantle, key factor for mineralization region.
